NEW...We are happy to announce that LOLA Girls will have an additional team for girls ages 8-12 in Kentfield. The Kentfield session will be held on Fridays from 3:30-4:30pm beginning October 17th. The team will meet at the new Marin Sport & Spine Clinic located at 810 College Ave. just across the street from College of Marin. All levels are welcome! The Mill Valley LOLA Girls teams will continue to meet at the LOLA Office on Tuesday and Thursdays. Contact us for more information/registration.
Team LOLA Ladies
NEW: LOLA Ladies Fall Run and Walk Teams are forming now. Train for a 5k, 10k or the Big Sur 1/2 Marathon on Sunday November 9th. The 5k and 1/2 Marathon run course take place along the beautiful Monterey Bay starting and finishing right downtown Monterey by Cannery Row. For those training for the 10k, it will be held also that same day, in S.F. along the waterfront on the Embarcadero. Two different race venues offer many choices in distances for all levels of runners & walkers. Training Schedule: Training begins August 10th. Group workouts are offered 3x/week working on speed, form and endurance. Coached Track(Speed) Workouts are offered twice a week: Tuesday 6:15am at Tam High in Mill Valley and Wednesdays 9:15am at College of Marin Track in Kentfield. These workouts last 50-60 mins and should only be done once a week. You choose which time works best for your schedule! Group Weekend Workouts: Long weekend runs/walks meet at 8am on Sunday mornings. These endurance workouts will help to build your mileage over the 3 months from 1 mile to 13 miles.....and you will always have your LOLA Ladies teammates out on the course with you. These fun long group workouts take place at various beautiful spots throughout Southern & Central Marin. These coached group workouts are supported with food/fluids along the way. Team Info Meetings: Come and learn all about Team LOLA Ladies, the training schedule, the races, and hear from the coaches and other teammates. Team LOLA Boys Trail Mix will begin October 2008. The Boys Trail Mix team is open to boys (ages 9-14) that want to get moving outside on the trails around Mill Valley. All levels welcome as the trail runs will be easy to moderate difficulty with some practice at ascending & descending hills. No previous trail running experience is necessary for this noncompetitive team... just a desire to get outside & get dirty on the trails! Great crosstraining for soccer, football, etc!Workouts will be held on Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm from October to December. Contact us for more details or to register for the program.

Come join us at the Tam High School Track on Tuesday mornings at 6:15am. Fall series begins on Tuesday September 2, 2008. All levels welcome–a great way to increase your speed, work on your running form and train with a group all before your morning coffee! Warm-up starts at 6:15 am…..Workout begins at 6:25am and finishes by 7:15am. $10 drop-in fee or buy 6 sessions for $48. NEW: Mixing It Up On The Trails! An introduction to trail running for girls ages 10-14*. The 8 week program will take the girls (& coach) to a new trail each week. The girls will learn the technique of trail running while experiencing all the beauty of being on the trails! The team will be training to run a December race (TBA) ( optional of course, but fun!)The trails will be located at various places in Southern Marin and will be easy to moderate level of difficulty. Girls must be comfortable ascending/descending small hills. Class size will be very limited for safety.**Prerequesite-Runner must be at least 10 yrs. of age and have previously participated in a LOLA program and/or at coach's discretion.** All Trail Mix participants are welcome to attend the weekend LOLA Family workouts.Where: Trails!
