Meet Kim

As a Nutritionist, Kim knows the importance of a good diet. She has seen athletes of all levels ruin great fitness training with a bad diet.
Kim Juarez founded LOLA after working as a Nutritionist, Personal Trainer and coach for the past 20 years. She wanted to bring people together-people that want to improve their health, accomplish goals and be a part of a growing fitness community.
After completing her BS degree in Nutritional Science along with some post-graduate work, Kim set out to work in the only setting she knew of as a Nutritionist---hospitals. She soon realized the hospital setting was not where she wanted to be, seeing people AFTER they were already sick. Kim wanted to get to people BEFORE they got sick by educating them on the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle to prevent many of the illnesses she was seeing in the hospital.
Kim set up a private practice as a Nutritionist in the early 90's and became certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer soon after. As an athlete, this was a natural combination for her-to teach nutrition and get people moving.
As a longtime runner and triathlete and after years of working with individuals, groups and teams, Kim wanted to bring together her own community where kids and adults can learn about good nutrition and get their bodies moving. Living Our Lives Actively-LOLA was born.
These days Kim is still seeing individual clients but is hard at work getting LOLA programs started everywhere. She still trains for triathlons and enjoys the competition of racing. "It is such a good feeling to cross a finish line, knowing I accomplished the goal I set out to do."
She has a been a featured nutrition and fitness contributor to books, television, radio and newspapers. She resides in Mill Valley , CA with her husband, Rich, and their 4 children.
