What is LOLA?

LOLA.....living our lives actively, was created by Kim Juarez in 2006. Kim, a Nutritionist, Personal Fitness Trainer, Coach, triathlete, wife and mother of 4, saw the increasing need of getting sound nutrition education to kids and their families in the face of alarmingly high rates of childhood obesity. She believes nutrition is best learned and supported through physical activity. So instead of sitting people down and lecturing to them, she wanted to get them moving with a set fitness goal in mind because training for a specific goal increases motivation and the willingness to learn.

LOLA Girls

LOLA is a family program. The girls learn the components of a healthy diet while training for their fitness goal. They then take the information home to their families where the implementation occurs and they can practice what they have learned. The girls become "nutrition ambassadors" to their family, friends, teachers, coaches, as they share the importance of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. "Friends don't let friends eat junk" has become one of our mottos. Once a week the girls also get the opportunity to exercise with their mom, dad, brother, sister. Any family member is welcome at our LOLA Family Workouts. A healthy lifestyle should be a family affair!

Team LOLA Ladies

After years of working with other organized training groups, Kim realized there was something missing....Women! Busy working women, working moms and stay-at-home moms - not because they were not interested in a fitness challenge or improving their health but because they could not juggle the mid-morning and evening group trainings, fundraising and commutes to far off weekend training sessions into their already full schedules. So, Team LOLA Ladies was born.

Team LOLA Ladies is an all women's training group, which combines nutrition education and support with fitness training. The team trains together for a specific fitness goal, which takes place at the end of the program. Considered the "working woman's" team training, the schedule is designed to fit our busy lives. Early morning- midweek and weekend workouts, no long distance commuting to train and there is NO fundraising....YOU are the CAUSE! All of these key components keep women coming back to Team LOLA. The non-competitive team environment offers structure, support and camaraderie-come have FUN with the girls! There is no reason to let everyone else's life get in the way of your health, fitness and happiness!
